News: We need to parent volunteers to help push pit equipment on/off the field for each competition and at home football game. Please let us know if you would be willing to help out. - drumlinemgrs@mvhsmusic.com Winter Druml Line season will begin shortly after the marching season finishes. Drum Line consists of the battery (snare drums, tenor drums, bass drums and cymbals) and the pit (marimbas, vibes, bells, synths and auxiliary). There will be a parent meeting on December 7th where we will hand out packets, discuss details, answer questions, and look for parent volunteers to help with matters such as props, uniforms, food, etc. Participation in second semester Drum Line requires travel to regional and national competitions. Costs include items such as program assessment, costumes, ground/air transportation, lodging, and meals. The estimated fair share contribution for MVHS Drum Line 2010 is about $1,600 to be made in 5 increments between December and March. This includes all expenses for Drum Line, including WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio. Every effort will be made to keep expenses to a minimum. We appreciate the high level of commitment from the students and instructors as well as the dedication of the parent volunteers. Together we can all look forward to a great year of Marching Band and Drum Line! Accomplishments: 2008 WGI Silver Medal Winners - Percussion Scholastic
